Using Social Media to build trust.

How to build trust using Social media?

You can earn trust over a number of years but you must work every hour, every minute and every second to keep it. You got to believe that, it only takes seconds to damage your brand image so you need to be alert on what is happening around you.
Post or update what people really want to hear, irrelevant information maybe be catchy but it will eventually cost you at the end of the day, so focus on what people want to hear, because people in social media platforms are more likely to trust or believe what is being endorsed by the social media influencers.

Once you have posted something make sure you do follow up, reply to comments, do retweets and replies... do not expect to be trusted if you do not interact with your followers. If you start a conversation do not stop because dropping out will damage your trust and also your image, like; people and other competitors will be reading up on what other people are saying about you on social media and watch very carefully how you responds to it, so choose your comments wisely and also be kind to your followers and friends.

And remember that social media is a social environment, so you must not dominate it, be flexible, listen, engage and be permeable. It is said that the organisation's brand is being defined by what stakeholders are saying to each other about it. If you do good, people will talk good about you and maybe endorse you to the public.

Keep your followers fully informed!

Are you a social media specialist?

If Yes, OK! Hear this out. To be a successful social media specialist you need to keep your followers fully informed, do no let them wander around looking for the company's information... be the first to let them know about the company's latest news. And again, it is always advisable to reply to their complaints, make sure your response is enticing because your competitors are always keeping an eye on how you treating followers or customers, you need to be careful of that as well.

Use simple language, avoid being obtuse because not all of your followers are literate, remember... it only takes one character to ruin your company's reputation, be careful when posting nor replying to customer's comments and complaints.
By not doing the above, you may find your brand laid in mud and the possibility of losing credibility may be very high. To avoid all this, make it easy and keep your followers fully informed and be friendly, do online competitions, gift giveaways and everything that may attract people to follow you.

Concise Post Writing and Tips for better writing

It is said that an accountable post attracts most readers than the complex one, so when blogging always make sure that your information is relevant, understandable and it is for public interest. Because participants on blog posts are more likely to trust or believe the views, opinions and experiences being shared on your post. If your post is informative and persuasive, you're more likely to get more viewers and followers. So now I have decided to share my experience on how to write an attractive and concise post, have a look on what I have broken down below;

  • When writing your post, always make sure that you write for a single screen  --  You are advised to write for a single screen because it is found that most readers do not scroll or they are lazy to scroll, that's why your post must be understandable at first glance.

  • Always include Links and Navigation tools on your post.  --  The ease of using a blog is increased when the post has well-placed links to help users or readers to navigate around your post. And also check your out links more often to make sure that they are still active, and again this will help you to draw traffic to your posts.
    The above image shows how the links and navigation tools works

  • Make sure that your background is simple and catchy.  --  Do not overload your post with fancy design make it simple, that would make it easier for the reader to go through your post.

  • One of the important things when you are owning a blog is to respect copyright.  --  Do not ever risk legal action by using copyrighted material without the permission of the author. People are being sued just for not asking permissions from the original owner, so you must be careful, do not take somebody's work or words without their permission, because it might ruin your reputation.

  • Avoid jargons.  --  Make sure your post is accountable in favour of your readers, because not everybody know English very well, so make it simple and catchy. That would definitely give them more energy to read the rest. And also use a standard spelling not a chit-chat language such as ''luv'' instead of ''love'', save these for chatting.
I hope the above mentioned tips of writing a blog post would enhance your writing skills and make you a professional blogger.

Five Tips For Public Relations Student Bloggers

For the past 2 years I have learnt that before posting on your blog, you should always think outside the box, always be consistent and also ask for ideas from your colleagues or mates.

HERE ARE 5 TIPS THAT CAN HELP YOU WRITE AN INTERESTING BLOG POST;

1. Always think outside the box.
  • Bloggers must be creative, be able to innovate, you should not be afraid to go out and look for ideas.  Avoid limiting yourself when you're brainstorming. This is the time when all ideas are welcome, no matter how silly or unworkable they sound. If you start limiting yourself during this stage of the thinking game, you aren't going to progress very far.
use your mind, do not be lazy to think

2. Understand your audience.
  • In order to be an excellent blogger, it is always good to know your readers, know what they want to know, and always post information which is relevant to their life. Love the readers you already have, do try to find new readers but spend time each day showing your current readers that you value them.http://blog.bufferapp.com/blogging-advice-forbeginners-from-16-experts

3. Pick a topic for your post.
  • Before you do anything, you need to pick a topic for your blog post, your topic must be relevant to your post, it must be short and catchy. Do a rough draft of what you are going to say.
4. Write down your sub-headings.
  • Every blog post must have sub-headings to make it easier for the reader to go through your post. Brake it into sections. Subheadings help break up large topics and pictures and give the eyes a rest. Leaving space allows the reader to feel relaxed, not rushed or overwhelmed. Try to use short paragraphs, no matter the length of the post.

5. Keep your post short.
  • Your post must be short, not more than 250 words... because most of the time readers pays attention on the first screen, they are lazy to scroll down, so to avoid that... your post must be short and simple.
